About this site
nathanwhope.com previously hosted Nathan Hope's photography portfolio. After the original site lapsed the domain changed hands. This edition reconstructs the public page structure and texts of that portfolio as plain, self-contained HTML pages.
What is preserved
- The site's language (English), its title, and the organisation of its pages: a home statement, a portfolio of sections, and the pointer to Hope's film and television work.
- The two portfolio sections that were publicly indexed, Animal Behaviour and Fifth and Spring, with the descriptive text of the latter paraphrased.
- The addresses have been simplified: the former
/home.htmland/section/….htmlpages are now/,/animal-behaviourand/fifth-and-spring.
What is not
- Photographs. None of Nathan Hope's pictures are reproduced. Every image position shows a neutral placeholder frame.
- Voice. The original was written in the first person. This edition is written in the third person, because it is not maintained by Nathan Hope and should not read as if it were.
- Contact details. No address, telephone number or e-mail for Nathan Hope is published here, and nothing on this site should be taken as a message from him.
