May 9, 2011. Downtown Los Angeles, the corner of Fifth in Spring. Two undercover police officers shoot a man in front of the Alexandria Hotel in a drug arrest gone wrong. The man would later die. The police oversight board would eventually rule that the shooting violated police policy on the use of lethal force.
